500th Anniversary of da Vinci

Holidays, festivals, and anniversaries of historical events and individuals are a fun way to add a theme to your upcoming travel.

London, Edinborough, Turin, Venice, Florence, Milan, and Paris are among the cities putting on exhibitions to celebrate the 500th anniversary of Leonardo’s death in May 1519.

During these special exhibitions museums and other sights often showcase their works in new ways and bring out special works like Venice’s Vitruvian man.
